To me what is missing is the realness of relationships. Typical Dating Apps don't allow you to truly meet someone with shared and genuine interests, or at least you have no idea what a person's interests are. There is so little detail available before having to make a decision and moving on to the next profile. Great relationships have people who start out as friends, that have shared social connections first, then have something to build upon. The ability to interact and communicate beyond just looking at a couple of profile pictures and making a snap judgement is what is necessary.
